West Michigan Community Booksale is a family-run effort dedicated to giving gently used books a second life. Our mission is to make reading more accessible across West Michigan by rehoming donated books through low-cost sales and direct donations to schools, teachers, and local programs.

The Team Behind the Shelves

Jeremy and Josey Borey run this family effort with care, rehoming donated books to readers, classrooms, and neighbors across West Michigan.

  • Josey supports operations and management at West Michigan Community Booksale—coordinating schedules, organizing donations, and keeping projects on track. She brings a steady hand and a big heart to the day-to-day.

  • As day-to-day lead, Jeremy coordinates pickups, organizes donations, and makes sure every book finds its next reader. He loves time with family and friends, and he’s a newly converted pickleball player working on his serve.

Sharing Books Where They Matter Most

From classroom libraries to hall-way book vending machines, we supply free books that students actually want to read. Your donations help teachers stretch tight budgets and keep kids excited about reading.
